This article deals with the comparative analysis of the linguistic and cultural aspects of the lexical field of water in the French and Russian languages. We used data from explanatory and translation dictionaries in the analysis, as well as proverbs, figures of speech and tales – all that is stored in the language memory. The analysis allows to identify the features of the figurative and conceptual interaction of the lexemes of water, money and time for the speakers of the French and Russian language-culture.en_US
