dc.descriptionKruchkova H., Timoschenko E. Lexical and Stylistic Peculiarities of Children’s Stories in French. The article is devoted to defining lexical and stylistic features of children’s stories in French. The analysis leads to the conclusion that the most common ways to introduce new vocabulary in the stories studied include the technique of choosing synonyms and the context. Another peculiarity is apparent in a large number of borrowings, interjections and various forms of address. The language of the analysed stories is stylistically heterogeneous. Stylistic devices are practically not used. Key words: children’s literature; lexical units; stylistic devices; exoticism.en_US
