At present borrowings in a language are associated with the processes of globalization, the development of science and technology, the role of English in world communication. Their active use in the automotive sector is determined by the internationalization of this sphere, where English is the main donor language. This sphere is in constant development thanks to new units that come from other languages. At the same time, the degree of adaptation of these units by the Russian language differs: some have not yet undergone graphic adaptation, others have managed to acquire grammatical categories or even have become the basis for word-formation. dc.description.abstractВ статье исследуются заимствования в автомобильной сфере, наличие в языке которых на современном этапе связано с процессами глобализации, развитием науки и техники, ролью английского языка в международном общении. Их активное использование в автомобильной сфере детерминировано интернационализацией этой терминосферы, основным языком-донором для которой выступает английский. Рассматриваемая терминосфера постоянно пополняется новыми единицами, пришедшими из других языков. При этом степень их освоенности русским языком различна: одни еще не прошли графическую адаптацию, другие успели приобрести грамматические категории, третьи укоренились в языке, став основой для словообразовательных гнезд.
