| Abstract: | В статье дифференцируется симметричный и асимметричный французский сочинительный союз et ‘и’ как средство номинации разнообразных отношений между ситуациями во внеязыковой действительности. Гармония асимметричного союза проявляется в обозначении иконической последовательности ситуаций во внеязыковой действительности. Для симметричного союза свойственны «аномальные» способы употребления, которые требуют декодирования связи за счет привлечения фоновых знаний говорящих. | Description: | Auseichyk Y. V. Coordinator et: harmony vs. anomaly. The article differentiates the symmetrical and asymmetric coordinator et ‘and’ as a means of nominating various relationships between situations in extra-linguistic reality. The harmony of an asymmetric coordinator is manifested in the designation of the iconic sequence of situations in extra-linguistic reality. The symmetric coordinator is characterized by «anomalous» ways of use, which require decoding of the connection due to the involvement of the background knowledge of the speakers.
