| Abstract: | Статья посвящена комплексному анализу способов передачи антропонимов в романе Дж. Роулинг «Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets» при переводе на немецкий язык. Рассматривается частотность употребления антропонимов, модели образования данной группы имен собственных. Важным аспектом исследования является определение языковой принадлежности имен и фамилий, что позволяет судить о национальной и социальной характеристике персонажей. Детально анализируется значение антропонимов, раскрывается их внутренняя форма, связь с характером, судьбой или функцией героя, а также их роль в создании особого смысла. Основу работы составляет анализ способов передачи имен и фамилий в произведении «Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets» при переводе на немецкий язык. Оценивается степень сохранения значения антропонимов в тексте перевода. В заключении подводятся итоги проведённого исследования и формулируются основные выводы. | Description: | Germanova Р. А. This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the methods used to translate anthroponyms in J.K. Rowling’s novel «Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets» into German. The study examines the frequency of anthroponyms in the original text, word-formation patterns characteristic of this category of proper names. An important aspect of the research involves determining the linguistic origin of the names and surnames, which provides insights into the national and social characteristics of the characters. The meaning of the anthroponyms is analyzed in detail, revealing their inner form, their connection to a character’s personality, destiny, or role, as well as their function in creating specific semantic layers in the narrative. The core of the study is an analysis of the translation strategies used to translate anthroponyms in «Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets» into German. The degree of preservation of the meaning of anthroponyms in the translation text is assessed. In conclusion, the results of the research are summarized, and key conclusions are formulated.
