| Abstract: | Забаўляльна-дыдактычныя аповесці Ганны Мастоўскай, яркай прадстаўніцы перадрамантызму, разглядаюцца ў кантэксце даўняй зацікаўленасці літаратуры Беларусі жыццём і культурай Усходу. Даследуецца паэтыка твораў і адзначаецца, што пісьменніца выкарыстоўвае арыентальныя матывы і вобразы, звяртаецца да ўмоўнай экзотыкі дзеля стварэння незвычайнага героя, невядомага і таямнічага свету, выхаду за межы трывіяльнага і будзённага, што адпавядала літаратурным якасцям Новага часу і новым эстэтычным чаканням. | Description: | Burdzialova I. Hanna Mostowska’s entertaining and didactic tales are examined within the long-standing interest of Belarusian literature in the life and culture of the East. The article analyzes the poetics of her works and notes that the writer employs Oriental motifs and imagery, turning to conventional exoticism in order to create an unusual hero, a mysterious and unknown world, and to transcend the trivial and the everyday - qualities that corresponded to the literary demands of the new era and emerging aesthetic expectations.
