| Abstract: | В статье рассмотрены особенности художественного воплощения гендерной проблематики в романах Энн Бронте «Агнес Грей» и «Незнакомка из Уайлдфелл-Холла». В результате проведенного анализа системы образов, сюжетной структуры и художественных конфликтов было выявлено, что в центре внимания писательницы находится женский опыт в условиях викторианского общества с его патриархальными установками, гендерными ролями и стереотипами. В обоих произведениях основное внимание уделяется внутреннему миру героинь, их борьбе за личную, юридическую и экономическую независимость. | Description: | Yatskevich E., Kudriavtseva I. The article examines the specificity of the literary representation of gender issues in Anne Brontë’s novels Agnes Grey and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. Through the analysis of the system of characters, plot structure and conflicts, it has been revealed that the writer focuses on women’s experience within the framework of Victorian society, with its patriarchal attitudes, gender roles and stereotypes. In both works, special attention is given to the inner world of the heroines, their struggle for personal, legal and economic independence.
