| Description: | Li Jiaqi, Voinava-Strakha M. The article examines the main trends in the development of women's literature in Belarus and China in a comparative aspect. As a result of the study, a number of identical trends are identified, including the desire to overcome the stereotypical way of thinking regarding the distribution of gender roles, the assertion of femininity, physicality, self-worth and the right to self-determination regardless of the man. Both literatures are characterized by an appeal to the image of the "new woman". Developing within the framework of different historical and cultural paradigms, Chinese and Belarusian women's literature come into contact in the main thing-the assertion of the priority right of women to personal identity, which creates a suitable ground for further comparative studies of Belarusian-Chinese women's literature. K e y w o r d s: women's literature; Chinese literature; Russian literature; development trends; gender issues. |
