| Abstract: | У артыкуле разглядаецца аўтарская стратэгія позняй творчасці К. Ішэрвуда на прыкладзе рамана «Там, у гасцях». Асноўны фокус даследавання скіраваны на аналіз рамкавага аповеду і яго трансфармацыю на працягу твора. Вялікая ўвага надаецца выкарыстанню аўтарам іроніі ў яе постмадэрнісцкім выяўленні. Вызначана, што раман «Там, у гасцях» мае характэрныя рысы літаратурных тэндэнцый ЗША сярэдзіны ХХ ст. Адлюстравана дынаміка трансфармацыі аповеду ўнутры тэксту, акрэслены асноўныя прычыны, што выклікалі змены пісьма цягам твора. | Description: | Salodki U. The article examines the author's strategy of Ch. Isherwood's late work on the example of the novel «Down There On a Visit». The main focus of the research is on the analysis of the frame story and its transformation throughout the work. Much attention is paid to the author's use of irony in its postmodern discovery. It is determined that the novel «Down There On a Visit» has peculiar similarities with the literary environment of the USA in the middle of the XX c. The transformation of the narration within the work is revealed, the main reasons that caused the changes in writing during the work are outlined.
