| Abstract: | В статье рассматривается жанровое своеобразие романа Х. Мантел «Любовный эксперимент» в контексте характерных для современной литературы процессов жанрового синтеза, жанровой гибридизации. Анализ образов героев, сюжета, хронотопа, композиционных особенностей и других элементов романа позволил соотнести его с жанровыми моделями романа воспитания, университетского и психологического романов, сочетание которых в рамках одного художественного текста позволило автору выразить значимую социальную и психологическую проблематику. | Description: | Chizhik Y., Kudriavtseva I. The article examines the genre specificity of H. Mantel’s novel An Experiment in Love in the context of the processes of genre synthesis and genre hybridization characteristic of modern literature. The analysis of the characters, the plot, the chronotope, the compositional features and other elements of the novel made it possible to attribute it to the genre models of the growing up novel (Bildungsroman), university and psychological novels, the combination of which within one literary text allowed the author to express significant social and psychological issues.
