| Abstract: | В статье исследуются особенности функционирования техники «потока сознания» в произведениях известной британской писательницы первой половины XX в. Д. Ричардсон с учетом трактовок данного термина в современном литературоведении и художественных установок писательницы. В результате анализа ряда романов Д. Ричардсон из ее цикла «Паломничество» сделан вывод о характерологической, стилеобразующей и тематической функциях «потока сознания» в произведениях писательницы. | Description: | Hilep V. The article examines the peculiarities of the functioning of the “stream of consciousness” technique in the works of D. Richardson, the famous British writer of the first half of the 20th century, taking into account the theories of the «stream of consciousness» in contemporary literary criticism and the writer’s aesthetic views. As a result of the analysis of a number of selected novels from D. Richardson’s cycle Pilgrimage, the characterological, style-forming and thematic functions of the «stream of consciousness» in the works of D. Richardson are identified.
