| Abstract: | В статье представлены результаты исследования взаимосвязи когнитивных ошибок и успешности изучения иностранного языка студентами на профессиональном уровне. Анализ показывает, что самооценки успешности изучения иностранного языка отрицательно коррелируют с большинством когнитивных ошибок. Совокупность когнитивных искажений более связана с успешностью изучения каждой конкретной учебной дисциплины, чем с общей академической успеваемостью по иностранному языку. | Description: | Valuyskaya T., Kokoreva S. This article presents the results of a study examining the relationship between cognitive distortions and the success of foreign language learning among students at the professional level. The findings indicate that students’ self-assessment of their foreign language learning success is negatively correlated with most types of cognitive distortions errors. Moreover, the overall pattern of cognitive distortions appears to be more closely associated with success in individual academic disciplines than with general academic performance in foreign language learning.
